Katie holds a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences, where she graduated with distinction, and a Master of Science in Physical Therapy, both from University of Alberta. She has always enjoyed learning and will continue to pursue higher-level education in order to expand her knowledge base and better her practice, to provide the best possible client care. Katie has completed training in Functional Dry Needling (IMS), as well as level I and II acupuncture training through Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute. She has also completed additional training to be able to provide pelvic health physiotherapy.
Katie believes in individualized treatments with a balance between manual therapy, education, and therapeutic exercise. She believes that the rehabilitation journey involves both the therapist as well as the patient and she uses a problem-solving approach to her practice. Her goal is to give clients the tools that they need during the rehabilitation process and to have some fun along the way.
Katie strives to help people reach their functional potential and has worked with a variety of populations including geriatric, neurological, pediatrics, and complex clients.
